“Oh. Sure. Goodnight, Dad,” says Rob, getting up to leave.<\/p>\n
“I don’t see why you have to go now, seeing as you have to leave–” begins Al.<\/p>\n
“Rob!” interrupts Millie, “Aren’t you going to take the souvenirs Father brought you?” Rob turns and looks at the pile of Japanese material on the floor.<\/p>\n
“Oh, yes,” says Rob. “Gee, thanks an awful lot, Dad – – for these… things. Good night. See you in the morning, Dad.” Rob picks up the spoils of war and leaves the room.<\/p>\n
Peggy kisses her mother. “Good night, Mom,” says Peggy.<\/p>\n
“Good night, darling,” replies Millie, patting Peggy’s hands.<\/p>\n
“Nice to have you around, Dad,” says Peggy. “You’ll get us back to normal.” Peggy follows Rob out of the room.<\/p>\n
“…or maybe go nuts, myself,” says Al to himself. He reaches into a shirt pocket and pulls out a pack of cigarettes.<\/p>\n
“What do you think of the children?” asks Millie, quietly.<\/p>\n
