“Yes,” says Al. He whistles again for the waiter, Angus, who returns to the booth.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Angus makes a circling motion with his hand, indicating another round of drinks.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Al stands up and says, “I’d love to!” and begins dancing with Angus.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The others in the booth laugh.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Later, Butch is closing up the bar.\u00a0 “Lights out, Steve!” says Butch, helping Al to the door.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Al sees Fred and cheers. “Where do we go next, old pal, old pal?” says Al.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“Just follow me, old pal,” says Millie.\u00a0 Millie throws Al’s arm over her shoulder. Butch holds the front door of the bar open.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“Step,” warns Millie, as Al approaches the front door.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“Goodnight, Al,” says Butch.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“Goodnight, Butch!” replies Al. “We had a nice party!”<\/p>\n
Later, at the Grandview Arms, Peggy pulls up to the entrance.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“Is this it, Fred?” asks Peggy.<\/p>\n
“It looks like it!” smiles a very drunk Fred.\u00a0 He climbs out of the car, bumping his head on the door frame. He takes Millie’s hand. “Goodnight, Millie,” says Fred, very formally. “Many thanks for a most enjoyable evening.”\u00a0<\/p>\n
“Goodnight, Fred, ” says Millie.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“Goodnight, Al! Best of luck to you,” says Fred. Al is passed out, leaning up against Millie.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“I’ll give him your message,” says Millie.<\/p>\n
