“Your loan,” interrupts Al, “would be administered through this bank, which would put up half of the six thousand dollars that you require. Now, that involves risk for this bank, Mister Novak.”<\/p>\n
Al glances around the bank lobby, and spots Homer at a service table.<\/p>\n
“Excuse me,” says Al, leaving Mr. Novak at his desk. Al walks over to Homer, who’s surprised to see Al.<\/p>\n
“Al!” says Homer.<\/p>\n
“Homer!” says Al. “Look at you!”<\/p>\n
“Look at you!” says Homer. “So this is where you work!”<\/p>\n
“Sort of,” says Al. “Hey, what are you doing here, sticking up the bank?”<\/p>\n
“Look at it, Al,” says Homer, waving a stack of dollar bills. “Two hundred leaves of cabbage. That’s what I get from old Mister Whiskers every month from now on. Pretty soft, eh?”<\/p>\n
“Pretty soft!” laughs Al. “You sure we haven’t shortchanged you?”<\/p>\n
“Oh no,” says Homer. “I kept my eye on that guy when he counted it out.” Al laughs.<\/p>\n
